Taylor Gerber, owner of Gerber Precision Detailing here in Travis County is certified through Detail King, in Pittsburgh PA, which is one of the country’s very few Onyx Certified Training Centers. The use of the paint correction equipment and expert skill set makes the cost a little pricey, depending on your budget. On the very low end, you can expect to pay at least $499 for just the ceramic coating applied to the paint on a brand-new car. The preparation and paint correction could add a few hundred to several hundred dollars based on the amount of paint correction needed and the size of the vehicle

- A two-bucket hand wash to properly clean all exterior surfaces, including the wheels
- Decontamination and clay barring of paintwork to remove pesky contaminants like bugs, tar, and grime and prepare the surface for application of ceramic coating
- Additional cutting and polishing stages to smooth the surface of the paint and restore its shine
- Application of protectants to the vinyl trim as well as no-sling dressing to all four tires
- Application of 1, 5, or 7 year ceramic coating
